The Emergency Community Support Fund is now accepting new applications. In the first round of funding, three national intermediaries—the Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada and the United Way Centraide Canada—funded more than 7,000 projects delivered by community organizations. The Canadian Red Cross also provided personal protective equipment or training to more than 1,100 organizations.
The Emergency Community Support Fund is now open for a second round of applications to address the evolving needs of Canadians. The Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada and the United Way Centraide Canada will again deliver funds to community organizations. The Canadian Red Cross will also relaunch its process to distribute personal protective equipment and training on preventing disease transmission.
Community organizations serving vulnerable populations are eligible for funding and support. The deadline to apply is October 30, 2020.
The Canadian Red Cross is accepting grant requests from non-profit organizations. It is also accepting applications for free personal protective equipment (PPE) and training on preventing disease transmission to non-profits, registered charities and qualified donees.
