Black business owners and entrepreneurs are essential to our communities, and yet, far too many Black business owners are dealing with the effects of systemic racism and the barriers that come with it, affecting their chances at success. The COVID-19 pandemic has only amplified these realities.
Our government announced that the Black Entrepreneurship Loan Fund, part of the Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP), is now accepting applications. This fund has been co-developed in partnership with the Federation of African Canadian Economics (FACE) as the loan fund administrator to provide financing of up to $250,000 for Black business owners and entrepreneurs so they can grow their businesses and succeed now and into the future.
